Chiro-Health Expands Capabilities and Adds Programs for 2006
San Francisco, CA (March 13, 2006) — Chiro-Health has announced the launch of several new health and wellness programs for the month of March and added a new chiropractic specialist to its staff.
As part of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2006, Chiro-Health is offering preventative healthcare services and screenings for the entire month. Among other services, women can have their blood pressure checked, be screened for stress and posture problems, and receive neck and back adjustments, at a reduced 20%-off rate.
Women can also take advantage of Chiro-Health’s nutritional counseling — a recent addition to the San Francisco-based chiropractic clinic’s healthcare services for adults and professionals.
Chiro-Health has also partnered with the San Francisco YMCA to consult at the organization’s Embarcadero and Presidio locations. YMCA members can work directly with Dr. Mazgaloff and Chiro-Health staff to correct gait-related and posture-related problems that affect athletes in terms of performance, health and overall fitness. The practice is becoming increasing popular for runners and tri-athletes concerned about chronic pain and soreness not only in their lower limbs but also in their back and neck.
”I think both serious and recreational runners are now seeing the benefit of chiropractic for its understanding of how the complex of joints, muscles, nerves and bones work together,” said Chiro-Health’s founder, Dr. Amelia Mazgaloff. “There are so many kinds of therapy you can get these days. You’re generally best off finding a treatment that takes the whole body into account and address the entire complex.”
And in other news for 2006, chiropractic specialist Dr. Minet Sepulveda joined the practice at Chiro-Health in January. Dr. Sepulveda’s unique background as an Olympic weightlifting champion offers a new perspective for clients, according to Dr. Mazgaloff. “By combining chiropractic care with sports-specific enhancement and nutrition protocols, Dr. Sepulveda will enable the office to provide more chiropractic, nutrition, and rehabilitation services,” she said.

About Dr. Mazgaloff
With treatments that go beyond the care of acute symptoms to rehabilitate and strengthen the body in order to avoid future problems, Dr. Mazgaloff’s chiropractic care addresses the dynamic nature of work, sports, stress and daily life for today’s busy professionals.
Dr. Mazgaloff’s background gives her unique insight into how to work together with patients to correct problems. The daughter of Olympic volleyball players in her native Bulgaria, and a veteran of that country’s lauded physical education program, Dr. Mazgaloff was initially trained at a time when physical activity was a state-sponsored, formally mandated part of daily life for millions of people. After receiving training as an X-ray technician, Dr. Mazgaloff came to the United States to work at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in Manhattan, one of the leading orthopedic specialty hospitals in the country.
Her upbringing in Bulgaria and her time at HSS inspired her to move into chiropractic medicine. “It gave me an insight into how people do before and after surgery and the impact of invasive versus non-invasive treatments,” she said. “I want to be on the prevention side instead of just passively waiting for problems to occur before correcting them.”
Dr. Mazgaloff received her chiropractic training at Life Chiropractic College West in 2001. She is a treating physician and safety lecturer for Costco, Rainbow Market, YMCA, Bank of America, California Pacific Medical Center, and Travel Nurse International, among others. Dr. Mazgaloff is available for speaking engagements and health screenings.
